The Kraken (海の怪物, untitled)

£30.00

This hand printed artwork features a giant kraken stirring beneath the waves.

In folklore, the kraken looms as a colossal guardian of the deep, a creature of myth and mystery, symbolising power, transformation, and the unknown. It felt fitting to print this piece on the pages of Colourful, the much-loved novel by Mori Eto, which reflects on renewal and the hidden layers of the soul. Like the kraken itself, it speaks to the unseen depths beneath the surface, where light and darkness intertwine in quiet balance.

Each print measures approximately 10cm x 15cm and is part of a strictly limited edition of 100. Every piece is individually numbered and stamped with my custom hanko chop as a signature of authenticity.

Lovingly hand printed in black oil-based ink, each piece has been burnished directly onto pages from Colourful. Because of the hand-crafted process, no two prints are ever the same, each carries its own subtle variations, making every artwork unique.

This is an original print, not a digital reproduction. Copyright remains with the artist, Rosie Lavis (@thewildprintstudio).
