Jellyfish
This hand printed artwork features the graceful form of a jellyfish, its translucent bell drifting effortlessly through the water, trailing delicate tendrils like ribbons in the current.
Each print is lovingly hand printed in black oil-based ink and available in two editions:
• On natural lokta paper (13cm x 17cm)
• On the pages of Colourful, a Japanese novel (10cm x 15cm)
In Japanese culture, the jellyfish (クラゲ, kurage) is often seen as a symbol of flow, intuition, and surrender, a reminder to move with life’s tides rather than against them. It felt beautifully fitting to print this piece on the pages of Colourful, a much-loved novel by Mori Eto that explores renewal and the shifting nature of existence, themes that echo the quiet, fluid grace of the sea.
Every print is part of a strictly limited edition of 100, individually numbered and stamped with my custom hanko chop as a signature of authenticity.
Because each piece is hand-burnished, no two prints are ever the same, subtle variations make every artwork unique.
This is an original print, not a digital reproduction.
