Japanese giant squid (烏賊, untitled)

Sale Price: £25.00 Original Price: £30.00

This hand printed artwork features the sweeping form of a giant squid..

In Japanese culture, giant squid (烏賊, ika) are seen as a mysterious messengers of the deep, embodying both strength and enigma, dwelling in the vast depths of the sea. It felt fitting to print this piece on the pages of Colourful, a much-loved novel by Mori Eto that explores renewal and the unseen layers of the human spirit, much like the hidden world the squid inhabits, shifting quietly between light and shadow.

Each print measures approximately 10cm x 15cm and is part of a strictly limited edition of 100. Every piece is individually numbered and stamped with my custom hanko chop as a signature of authenticity.

Lovingly hand printed in black oil-based ink, each piece has been burnished directly onto pages from Colourful. Because of the hand-crafted process, no two prints are ever the same, each carries its own subtle variations, making every artwork unique.

This is an original print, not a digital reproduction. Copyright remains with the artist, Rosie Lavis (@thewildprintstudio).
