Japanese crane 丹頂鶴

£30.00

This is an exquisite and delicate piece picturing a Japanese crane dancing against a golden sun and is part of the artists ‘small but beautiful’ Japanese collection. This is the third and final crane of the series.

This two block lino print has been printed on pages from a well known Japanese novel called ‘colourful’, by author Mori Eto. It tells a story of a soul that is given a second chance at life. The protagonist learns they have died but instead of moving on into the afterlife, they are given the opportunity to reincarnate…

The total piece measures approximately 10cm x 15xm and is part of a very limited edition collection of 40. Each will be numbered and stamped with the artists custom hanko chop, as a signature.

Please note that this print has been lovingly hand printed (by me) and is not a digital reproduction. Therefore due to the handcrafted nature, no two pieces will be the same, making them extra special.

Please note that the copyright of this work is retained by the artist.
The print is an original illustration produced by Rosie Lavis (@thewildprintstudio) Each print has been hand burnished onto pages of a Japanese novels in gold and black oil based ink.

These will be dispatched from 6 December, once fully dry.
